I
got to spend the last two weeks of the year at home in Carmel, CA. Six airports
for the trip! Oh well. . . Life by now
is no longer a destination but a journey--full of waits and connections with
delay and early arrival. We did not have much of traditionally and
commercially-portrayed celebration. Being together is a celebration in itself.
Both aging but young at heart Santa and the Elf were hard at work around the
house and managed to put a finishing touch in the living room to wrap up the
year. Several simple home cooking meals and lunches with friends brought
appreciative joy. Jon and Daisy made it home from driving across the continent
(again) on Christmas day and quickly disappeared soon afterwards. Buster's
first encounter with curious Daisy displayed quite a dramatic and traumatic
scene. Bin has occupied himself with life and work in NYC. Bo also dares to
dream. Bless him.
