My vacation break, eventually. On June 30, 2010, I boarded on a bus from Arlington, VA to NYC, jumped on another bus to Boston. Got off at South Station and hopped on another one to our cozy cottage in Concord, NH. The whole bus trip plus waiting time took me over 10 hours. It wasn't bad. The bus rides were comfy and relaxing. I joined Bin, Jon, Ash, and Daisy. Summer in NH is green and warm but a bit better than DC area. A little excursion and adventure for an aging lady.
After Bin left, we were hit by heat wave and decided to take a ride along Kangamagus Highway and White Mountains National Park. Mountain water along the highway cooled us down like magic.
I flew back. The flight from Manchester to BWI was over an hour but the whole trip including wait, public transportation, and walk took 5 hours. I should try a train next time.
